Bloomsburg University Women's Basketball Falls to Millersville, 74-56

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team fell to Millersville 74-56 on Saturday afternoon.

Millersville came out strong on both the offensive and defensive ends and lead by as many as 21 in the first half. Bloomsburg went on a 10-2 run in the last four minutes of play to trail by 13 at the break, 28-15.

In the second half Millersville, came out strong once again, leading by as many as 29. The Huskies fought back and went on a 15-5 run with 3:32 left to play to bring the final score to 74-56.

Kelsey Gallagher (East Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg South) had a game high 21 points, while Stephanie Rankin (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) and Monica Dennison (Zion Grove/Hazleton Area) both chipped in with seven.

Gabrielle Styles lead Millersville with 17 points, while Jenna Craig had 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Marauders.

Bloomsburg hosts Shippensburg on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
